Huge started writing this in Alameida, CA (USA) in 1994 when he learned of the creation of his first son. This was a truly moving experience and an unusually emotional time. He got to put his own desires and obsessions aside and think about what the future held for another life just beginning. He was filled with all the well-wishing thoughts, fears, hopes and expectations of a very new parent and drafted this to put it down.
On this recording, the violin and cello are played by Ian Focks, with all other sounds made and recorded by Huge. Another version, with a female voice, is planned for a future release.
Lullabye
You rest my heart, clear my mind.
Worlds of wonder, yours to find
Tell me where your dreams may be
So many futures I can see
And when I think of you asleep
My troubles simply cease
You are a debt I can't repay
Tiny person at peace
Softly, slowly dream away
Find your destiny some day
May all your dreams come true
That would mean so much to you
And when I think of you asleep
My troubles simply cease
You are a debt I can't repay
Tiny person at peace
